Blackadder Smoking Islay 10 Year Old Raw Cask 60.5% (2022) (60.5%)

Blackadder Smoking Islay 10 Year Old is a blended malt made from Islay whiskies and bottled in October 2022 in the Spirit of Legend series. It is a Raw Cask bottling at 60.5% ABV, and 648 bottles were released. Nothing has been filtered or coloured, so visible cask residue may settle at the bottom of the bottle. The nose is wet ash, campfire, sea salt and iodine, with citrus zest and a light sweetness. The palate has thick peat smoke, soot, pepper and salt, then malty depth and a slightly oily texture. Water brings out citrus, soft vanilla and a mineral note. The finish is long, warm and smoky.
