Blackforest Wild Whisky Peated 6 Year Old (50cl, 42%)

Blackforest Wild Whisky Peated is a six-year-old German single malt in a 50cl bottle, bottled at 42% ABV. The malted barley is local and is dried over a peat fire, which gives the whisky its smoky character. Specially bred fresh yeasts are used for fermentation, and the spirit is distilled twice. It then matures first in new American white oak, moves into ex-bourbon casks and is given further maturation in cognac casks. The peat is described as pleasant and smoky without dominating the whisky.
