Bladnoch 19 Year Old PX Sherry Cask - Galloway Edition (70cl, 46.7%)

This is a 19-year-old Bladnoch single malt from the Galloway Edition, bottled at 46.7% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The whole maturation took place in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, rather than a sherry finish at the end. The Galloway Collection uses first-fill casks, and Master Distiller Dr Nick Savage chooses the individual casks for this whisky. The nose offers dark liquorice sticks and aged oak against a floral background. On the palate liquorice and dried apricots meet almonds and nutmeg, and the long finish sets sweetness beside a dry impression.
