Bladnoch – 1980-1996 16 Year Old Cadenhead's Authentic Collection (70cl, 57.8%)

A single cask Bladnoch from the Lowlands, distilled in 1980 and bottled in 1996 at 16 years old for Cadenhead's Authentic Collection. It is bottled at its cask strength of 57.8% in a 70cl bottle. It was released soon after the Armstrong Brothers took over the distillery, when it was still forbidden to start distilling again. Cadenhead's bottled several Bladnoch casks from the 1980 vintage in the mid to late 1990s. Bladnoch from these releases is described as lively, clean and fresh, with citrus and tart apple flavours and grassy, mineral notes.
