Bladnoch 8 Years Old Red Wine Cask is a Lowland single malt from Galloway, part of the Galloway Collection. It is bottled at 46.7% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is matured entirely in red wine casks, which add depth, fruit and a touch of spice.
The nose is fresh, with red berries, cherries and raspberries, floral notes, vanilla and a little oak. On the palate it is soft and balanced, with ripe red fruit, honey, creamy vanilla and light spice. The finish is medium, with lasting fruit, gentle spice and a soft, dry woodiness.
