This is a 15 year old single malt from Bladnoch in the Lowlands, bottled at 46.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was one of three releases in 2017 marking the reopening of the distillery.
Adela is made from whiskies matured in both American and Spanish oak Oloroso sherry butts.
The nose has walnut and coffee cake, juicy cherries and a hint of lemongrass. The palate is rich and chocolatey, with strawberry, liquorice and clove. The finish is quite long and full of Oloroso sweetness.
