Bladnoch – Alinta Peated Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46.7%)

Bladnoch Alinta is a Lowland single malt in a 70cl bottle at 46.7% ABV, and the first peated single malt from the distillery, which is traditionally unpeated. Alinta is an Indigenous Australian word meaning fire or flames. It was aged in a combination of bourbon and Pedro Ximenez casks, which bring sweetness alongside the smoke. The tasting notes describe soft peat smoke with dried fruits, vanilla and a hint of citrus on the nose. The palate has smoky campfire embers, dark chocolate, raisins and spiced oak, and the finish is long and warming with lingering peat smoke and a touch of sweetness.
