Bladnoch – Alinta Reserve PX Sherry Cask (70cl, 46.7%)

Alinta Reserve is a heavily peated Lowland single malt from Bladnoch, matured entirely in PX sherry casks and bottled at 46.7% in a 70cl bottle. The edition is limited to 2,000 bottles. The malt is peated with peat from the Scottish mainland, so it lacks the medicinal notes associated with island whiskies. The smoke is sweeter, and the whisky is rich, fruity and smoky. The nose is smoky apricot jam with a touch of fir. The palate brings smoky cola with cinnamon and nutmeg, and the finish is very long and warm, like a campfire.
