Bladnoch – Alinta (70cl, 47%)

Bladnoch Alinta is a peated Lowland single malt, a distillery bottling in a 70cl bottle at 47% ABV. It joined the distillery's Classic Collection in 2022 and is bottled without colouring or chill filtration. The whisky was matured in first fill ex-bourbon casks and first fill ex-sherry casks, the sherry coming from Pedro Ximenez casks. That adds sweet fruitcake notes alongside the smoke. Tasting notes describe smoky ice cream, delicate florals and sweet oak on the nose. The palate brings campfire smoke, almonds and raisins on a white chocolate body, and the finish is long with sweet smoke.
