Kirkcowan is a Lowland single malt from the Bladnoch distillery in Dumfries and Galloway, named after a nearby village. It is matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration.
Sweetness comes with floral touches, fine spices and light oak. The nose offers vanilla ice cream, lemonade, ripe banana and malt. On the palate it is mild, with sugared oat biscuits, candied lemon, ripe orange, banana milk and a little grass. The finish is medium in length, with a sweet note lingering.
