Bladnoch – Kirkcowan (46%)

Bladnoch Kirkcowan is a Lowland single malt from the Bladnoch distillery in Dumfries and Galloway, in the south of Scotland. It is named after the nearby village of Kirkcowan. The whisky matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks and is bottled at 46% ABV, not chill filtered and without added colouring. The nose opens with fresh pear, apple, vanilla and light oak, then honey, caramel, orange peel and floral notes. The palate is round and silky, with honey, malt, almond and a hint of white chocolate. The finish is long and elegant, with vanilla, spice and a subtle dryness.
