Bladnoch Liora is a Lowlands single malt bottled at distiller's strength, 52.2%, in a 70cl bottle. It is the first Bladnoch release at that strength, and its name comes from the Hebrew word for "light".
The whisky brings together the intensity of new oak and the smooth sweetness of ex-bourbon casks.
The nose offers fresh-cut apples, toasted caramel and soft floral notes. On the palate there are caramelised toffee apple, warming spices and the bright character of fresh oak. The finish is long, with a gentle warmth and a touch of dryness.
