Bladnoch – Liora (70cl, 52.2%)

Bladnoch Liora is a Lowland single malt from the Bladnoch distillery in the south of Scotland, bottled at 52.2%. It was matured in first-fill American oak casks that held bourbon together with virgin oak casks. It has natural colour and is not chill-filtered. The name comes from a Hebrew term meaning 'the light for me'. The nose offers wild honey, toffee, new oak, citrus and a touch of spiced vanilla. The palate is structured, with toasted caramel, peppery oak, cinnamon, orange peel and almond. The finish is dry, long and warm.
