Bladnoch Liora is a single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 52.2% ABV. It is the first Bladnoch released at what the distillery calls Distiller's Strength.
The whisky was matured in both Bourbon and new oak casks, a combination intended to bring together fresh-cut apple, toasted caramel, peppery spice and oak.
The nose is fresh-cut apple with toasted caramel and floral notes. On the palate come caramelised toffee apples, peppery spices and fresh-cut oak, followed by a long finish with a slight, warming dryness.
