Bladnoch – Samsara (46.7%)

Bladnoch Samsara is a Lowland single malt matured in first-fill bourbon casks and first-fill Californian red wine casks. It is bottled at 46.7% with natural colour and without chill filtration. The name refers to the rebirth of the distillery under new ownership. The red wine casks sit alongside the bourbon wood, and the whisky is described as creamy and fruity. The nose brings ripe apricot and peach with vanilla cream, toffee, red berries and honey. On the palate there are stone fruits, red berry sweetness, citrus peel and toasted oak. The finish is long, with fruit sweetness, vanilla and gentle oak spice.
