Bladnoch Talia is a 25 year old single malt at 49.2%, in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and deep gold in colour.
Three woods go into it: ex-bourbon, ex-sherry and ex-whisky casks, with a last stage in new American oak. The water comes from the River Bladnoch and the grain is sourced locally.
The nose is old leather, wax, cedar, polished oak and ginger, with vanilla, malt and a hint of green apple. The palate is zesty, with gingerbread, vanilla, sweet oak, Seville orange and coconut biscuit. The finish is sweet and citrusy, with honeycomb, and dries gently.
