Bladnoch – Talia (70cl, 45.5%)

Bladnoch Talia is an official Lowland single malt from the Bladnoch distillery, in a 70cl bottle. It was among the first whiskies released after the distillery was taken over by the Australian businessman David Prior, and it sits in Bladnoch's Rare Release range. It is drawn from some of the oldest casks in the distillery's archives, matured in a mix of Oloroso sherry and Californian red wine casks. It is bottled at 45.5%, without colouring or chill filtration. The nose brings fresh blackcurrants, floral grass and aged oak. The palate has toffee, coffee crème and root ginger, and the finish is long, sweet and peppery.
