Vinaya is a single malt from Bladnoch, the Lowland distillery. The name comes from a Sanskrit word meaning respect and gratitude, chosen as the distillery entered its 204th year.
It is matured in first fill ex-Bourbon and first fill ex-Sherry casks, a combination new to Bladnoch, with a little extra richness coming from the sherry casks. It is bottled at 46.7% in a 70cl bottle and is non-chill filtered.
The notes describe fresh apple, sweet floral grass and hints of chocolate on both the nose and the palate.
