Blair Athol – 10 Year Old 2013/2023 Macbeth Collection Act One The Bloody Sergeant

A 10 year old Highland single malt from Blair Athol, distilled in 2013 and released in Elixir Distillers' Macbeth Collection. The series celebrates the smaller characters of Shakespeare's play, and this bottle carries an illustration by Sir Quentin Blake on a bright yellow label. The nose pairs apple and the tartness of redcurrant with clove and cinnamon, along with rosewood and autumn woodland. On the palate are creamy vanilla and soft caramel, malty notes and liquorice spice, with a hint of moss. The finish fades with caramel sweetness and a finely structured, spicy note.
