This is an 11 year old Highland single malt from Blair Athol, distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2025 by Best Dram. It is a single cask, matured in a second fill ex-Caol Ila cask, number 310727.
The nose offers oat flakes with light smoke, caramelised apple, butter cake and a touch of lemon zest. The palate starts firmly with a creamy, almost thick texture. Peat smoke is clearer than on the nose, vanilla-sweet, alongside butter cake and slightly tannic notes as the fruit recedes.
The finish is long, moving from sweet to spicy to peaty.
