This is an 11-year-old Highland single malt from Blair Athol, matured in a second-fill hogshead that previously held Caol Ila. It was distilled on 15 September 2013 and bottled on 28 May 2025 for the Best Dram series, at a cask strength of 56% ABV. Cask 310727 gave 318 bottles.
The nose offers sweet oats, gentle smoke, caramelised apple, butter cake, lemon zest and vanilla. The palate is creamy, with more pronounced peat smoke, vanilla, marzipan, spicy oak and dry tannins. The finish is long: sweetness first, then spice and wood, ending dry, peaty and ashy.
