Blair Athol 12 Years Old is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
Sherry is prominent on the nose, with raisins, dried apricot and orange peel, plus hints of Madeira wine, toffee, toasted nuts and an earthy, tobacco-like depth.
Full-bodied and silky on the palate, it shows malt, Christmas fruit cake, raisins and caramel, set against a fresh herbal note of mint or eucalyptus and spice from ginger and pepper. The finish is medium to long and dry, with lingering sherry wood, light fruity acidity and bitter coffee or mint chocolate.
