Blair Athol 14 Year Old – Cadenhead's Original Collection (2023) (70cl, 46%)

This Blair Athol 14 year old is a Highland single malt from Cadenhead's Original Collection, in a 70cl bottle at 46%. It was distilled in 2009 and bottled in June 2023. The whisky was finished in Oloroso sherry casks, where it has rested since March 2022. The sherry adds depth and warmth to the malty Blair Athol character without taking over. The nose brings dried fruit, nuts, toffee and light spice. The palate is full and rounded, with raisins, dark sugar, chocolate and candied orange peel. The finish is warm, medium-long and slightly dry, with cocoa and oak.
