This single malt was distilled at Blair Athol in the Highlands in 2011 and aged for 14 years in a single Viognier wine cask. Berry Bros. & Rudd bottled it for The Auld and the Bold Collection, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring.
The nose offers tropical fruit salad, honeyed brioche and a hint of soft cheese rind. On the palate come coconut cream, apricot, barley sugar and a cooling trace of mint, with a waxy texture. The finish carries toasted oak, lemon curd, candied ginger and a distant floral note.
