Blair Athol – 15 Year Old Manager's Dram (70cl, 59.4%)

This is a single malt from the Blair Athol distillery in the Highlands, bottled as part of the Manager's Dram series. It was distilled in 1981, matured for 15 years in a single sherry cask and bottled in December 1996 at a cask strength of 59.4%. It is non-chill-filtered. The series began in 1987, when managers from the distilleries of Scottish Malt Distillers each brought a favourite cask to an internal tasting. The first official bottling followed in early 1988, with each release chosen by a distillery manager to represent their house style.
