A 26 year old single cask Blair Athol from the Old Malt Cask series by Hunter Laing, distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2023 at 50%. The cask gave 290 bottles, each a 70cl bottle.
Hunter Laing is a family company, and Old Malt Cask is its well known range of single cask bottlings.
The nose shows berries, nuts and milk chocolate. The palate brings marzipan icing, green herbs and salted caramel, and the finish is long with a gentle hint of smoke.
