This is an 18 year old Blair Athol single malt from the Highlands, bottled by Elixir Distillers for The Single Malts of Scotland. It was distilled on 2 August 2006, matured in a PX sherry hogshead, number 40245, and bottled on 24 April 2025.
The cask yielded 254 bottles of 70cl at 47.1%, neither chill-filtered nor coloured.
The nose is rich with raisins, dates and dried figs, alongside dark chocolate, nutty toffee and fine spice. The palate is full and round, with sherry, juicy dried fruit, sweet oak, brown sugar, cinnamon and well-integrated oak spice. The finish is long and warm, with chocolatey sweetness, a little espresso and a hint of clove.
