This is a 17 year old Blair Athol bottled by Signatory in its 100 Proof Exceptional Cask series, in a 70cl bottle at 57.1% ABV. It was distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2025, after 17 years in a first fill Oloroso butt.
The nose is expressive, with walnuts, dried plums, beeswax polish, orange, cherries, mixed spice and caramel. The palate is both sweet and spicy, with vanilla, dried fruit, dark chocolate, red fruit, nutmeg and varnished wood. The finish is medium in length and fairly dry, with touches of sherry.
