This is a 17 year old Blair Athol from the Highlands, distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2025 as Signatory Vintage's Exceptional Cask Edition #12 in its 100 Proof series. It matured in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts and was bottled at 57.1%, which corresponds to 100 proof. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose brings burnt almonds, dark raisins and orange, with a little oak alongside. On the palate it is full and velvety, with espresso, cinnamon and oak spice next to dried fruit. The finish is long and slightly dry, with bitter chocolate, leather and gentle oak.
