This is a 12 year old Blair Athol single malt, distilled in 2008 in the Highlands and bottled by Adelphi at 54.5% in a 70cl bottle.
It comes from a single first-fill PX sherry cask, which gave the whisky a very dark colour and creamy, fruity-sweet aromas. The cask yielded 284 bottles.
The nose is dried and dark fruit, dates, red berries, grapes, strawberries and forest fruit, with milk and dark chocolate. The palate is sweet, oily and creamy, with dates, raisins, caramelised apple, spice and fruit cake. The finish is very long and soft, with dark caramelised fruit and PX sweetness.
