A 14 year old Blair Athol distilled on 29 February 2008 and bottled in August 2022 by Alistair Walker for Infrequent Flyers. It was finished in a PX sherry puncheon and is Batch 11, Release No. 88, with 680 bottles filled.
The colour is very dark, a deep reddish brown. The nose is deep and intense, with cocoa, figs, apple strudel and baked fruit. The palate is full-bodied, viscous and almost chewy, with melted brown sugar, dark chocolate, crème brûlée, morello cherries, molasses and a touch of mocha, perhaps with a little star anise.
