This is a 12 year old Highland single malt from Blair Athol, part of Signatory Vintage's Cask Strength Collection. It was distilled on 24 April 2008 and matured in refill hogsheads, then given a long finish in a fresh sherry butt, number 5. Bottled on 15 February 2021 at 54.4% ABV, it yielded 694 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose shows dark berries, sweet cherries, dried fruit, sherry, cinnamon and spicy oak. The palate is full and strong, with dark fruit, chocolate, nuts and spice, and a clear sherry influence. The finish is long, spicy and dry, with oak and dark sherry notes.
