Blair Athol – 2010 12 Years (Whisky Is The Limit) (50cl, 56.9%)

This single cask Blair Athol from the Highlands was distilled in June 2010 and bottled in July 2022 at 12 years old, in a 50cl bottle. It spent its whole life in a sherry hogshead, which gave 387 bottles at a cask strength of 56.9%. It was bottled by Whisky Is The Limit, an independent bottler started in 2019. The nose brings sweet Christmas spices and raisins. The palate has warm spices, candied apples and oranges, and dark chocolate. The finish carries a very light, dry note of wood.
