This is a 10 year old Blair Athol, distilled in 2011 and released in spring 2022 by Dram Mor Group. Only 265 bottles were filled.
It was finished in a first-fill bourbon hogshead, which gives the whisky its fruit-led character.
The nose combines vanilla and cereal notes with pear drops and a hint of smoke. The palate is very oily and long, with tart fruit such as peach and rhubarb and almost no spice. The finish stays fruity, with plenty of peach and a gentle tingle on the tip of the tongue.
