A single cask Blair Athol from the Highlands, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2022 at 10 years old by Douglas Laing for its Provenance series. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46%, without colouring or chill filtration.
The whisky matured in a refill bourbon barrel and yielded 312 bottles.
The nose is sweet Scottish honey, orchard fruit and a hint of lemon. On the palate come grapefruit, pepper and plenty of sweet spice. The finish lingers with apple, more pepper and late dry oak.
