This is an 11-year-old Blair Athol single malt from the Highlands, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2023 by Brave New Spirits at 56.7% ABV. It is part of the Cask Noir series and is named Ivy in Tennessee.
It comes from a single first fill bourbon hogshead, number 302118, which gave 284 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose offers ripe apple and peach with spicy touches and a restrained malt sweetness. The palate is full and powerful, with vanilla, honey and soft wood spice. The finish is long and warming, with fine sweetness and hints of oak and spice.
