Blair Athol – 2011-2023 12 Year Old Douglas Laing Old Particular Single Cask DL18143 (70cl, 48.4%)

A 12 year old Blair Athol single malt from the Highlands, distilled in June 2011 and bottled in August 2023 by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular range. It was matured in a single refill barrel, cask DL18143, and bottled at 48.4% ABV without colouring or chill filtration. The outturn was 285 bottles. The label describes a nose of bourbon cask influence alongside rich Highland malt. The palate is slightly peppery, with toffee and muscovado sugar. The finish brings clove-studded orange zest and a sweet American note.
