This is a 9 year old Blair Athol, distilled on 17 September 2013 and bottled in spring 2023 in Claxton's Warehouse No. 1 series. It matured in an STR barrique, and 313 bottles were filled.
The nose is big and malty with intense barley, vanilla, cream soda and a fruit salad with golden syrup. The palate is juicy and generous with ripe fruit, barley and oak sweetness, and a gentle warmth. The finish is dessert-like, with oak sweetness and fruit in balance.
