Blair Athol – 2015 10 Year Old Signatory Vintage The Monuments of Scotland (50.8%)

This Blair Athol is a Highland single malt distilled on 1 December 2015 and bottled after 10 years for Signatory Vintage's The Monuments of Scotland series. It was finished in first fill Oloroso sherry butts and comes in an Ibisco decanter. It is bottled at 50.8% ABV, non-chill-filtered and in natural colour. The label shows the Glenfinnan Viaduct, and the whisky comes from four casks. The nose has raisins, figs and orange peel, then caramel, dark honey and malted biscuits. The palate is soft and full, with dried fruit, cream caramel, cocoa and orange. The finish is medium to long, ending in warm cocoa and spiced oak.
