Blair Athol 8 Year Old is a single malt from Pitlochry, distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2024 at 48% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is a small batch drawn from two sherry casks and bottled under the Reserve Casks name.
The distillery was founded in 1798 as Aldour and renamed Blair Athol in 1825. It closed in 1932, restarted in 1949 and went from two stills to four in 1973.
The character is floral, fruity and autumnal, with ginger running through the nose, palate and finish.
