Blair Athol – 'Lightly Smoky' 2012 13 Year Old Warehouse No. 1

This is a 13 year old Blair Athol single malt from Claxton's Warehouse No. 1 series. It was distilled on 11 June 2012 and bottled in the winter of 2025/26, with 152 bottles filled. The whisky matured in an ex-Peated Islands cask, which gives the bottling its 'Lightly Smoky' name. The nose shows malty notes, a little musk, sweet smoke and a touch of rum. The palate is creamy, with more malt and a refined, herbal smokiness. The finish brings white pepper, gentle fruit and more fine smoke.
