Blandy's 10 Year Old Verdelho is a Madeira in a 50cl bottle, made by the family firm that has produced Madeira since 1811. Verdelho is the medium dry style among the four noble Madeira varieties.
Madeira is heated during maturation, which oxidises it in a controlled way and makes the wine very stable.
The bouquet is lively, with dried quince, orange peel and a touch of sea water. The palate has well-judged acidity and an impressive length.
