Blanton's – Gold Edition (70cl, 51.5%)

Blanton's Gold Edition is a Kentucky single barrel bourbon, bottled at 103 proof (51.5%) in a 70cl bottle. Blanton's was the first single barrel bourbon to restore the standing of American whiskey, in 1984. The recipe has a higher proportion of rye, which makes it drier and spicier, with cinnamon and nutmeg. It is described as showing dark fruit, pecan and oak, with a touch of sweetness from honey and vanilla.
