Blanton's – Gold Edition (70cl, 51.5%)

Blanton's Gold Edition is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled from a single barrel at 51.5% in a 70cl bottle. The bottle is sealed with wax. The Gold Edition was the second version of Blanton's to be made, after the original 93 proof. The brand is named after Colonel Albert B. Blanton, a former distillery president, and the first single barrel bourbon was created in 1984 by Elmer T. Lee. The nose offers rye and tobacco, followed by caramel and dark fruits. On the palate there are oak and honey flavours.
