Blanton's Straight From The Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon from a single barrel, made at the Buffalo Trace distillery. It is bottled straight from the cask without added water, at 61.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The mashbill is corn, rye and malted barley.
The nose offers raisins, dried fruit, orange zest and lightly toasted oak. The palate is dry and rich, with plenty of oak, vanilla, light honey, butterscotch and juicy raisins, and noticeable heat. The finish stays dry, with preserved peaches, light vanilla, raisins and oak.
