Bomberger's Declaration Kentucky Straight Bourbon 2025 (70cl, 54%)

Bomberger's Declaration 2025 is a small batch Kentucky straight bourbon, released in a run of 2,583 bottles. It honours the historic Bomberger's Distillery of the nineteenth century and is now carried on by Michter's in Louisville, Kentucky. It was matured in fresh American oak and is bottled at 54% in a 70cl bottle. The colour is a deep mahogany, and it is non-chill-filtered and without added colour. Vanilla, caramel and dark chocolate lead on the nose, with firm oak spice and a little cinnamon. On the palate come dark fruit and roasted nuts, creamy sweetness and a light coffee note. The finish is long and complex, with molasses, leather and soft oak.
