Bomberger's Declaration Kentucky Straight Bourbon 2025 (70cl, 54%)

Bomberger's Declaration 2025 is a small batch Kentucky straight bourbon from Michter's, part of its Legacy Series. It is bottled at 54% (108 proof) in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in barrels of chinquapin oak. Before toasting and charring, the staves were air-dried outdoors for 18 months, three years, four years or five years. This is batch L25E1905, filled to 2,583 bottles, without chill filtration or added colour. The nose offers bright fruit, roasted nuts and salted caramel. The palate moves from floral, jammy, sweet and salty notes into lasting spice, with chocolate and berries. The long finish brings toasted marshmallow, brown sugar, chopped peanuts and banana nut muffin, set against firm tannin and tobacco.
