Bowmore 10 Years Dark & Intense is an Islay single malt matured in sherry and bourbon casks, bottled at 40% in a one-litre bottle. It was relaunched in early 2017 as one of three Bowmore bottlings in the travel retail range.
Sea salt and peat dominate, though fruity notes of sultanas and dark berries come through well. The finish keeps a light smokiness for a long time, with a hint of walnut.
