A 10-year-old Islay single malt from Bowmore, bottled at 46% in a one-litre bottle. It belongs to the Inspired By The Devil's Casks series.
The nose is dense with ripe dark fruit, plums, raisins, figs and black cherries, over old leather, tobacco, soft bonfire smoke, a little sea air and cinnamon. On the palate it opens lively and slightly peppery, with caramel, dark chocolate, molasses and cranberry, balanced by a dry, tannic grip. Blood orange peel, black pepper and liquorice follow.
The finish is medium to long, dry and smoky, with tobacco, leather, gentle spice and a fruity sweetness.
