Bowmore – 12 Year Old (40%)

Bowmore 12 Year Old is an Islay single malt bottled at 40% ABV. It is regarded as the emblematic bottle of the distillery, with peat, maritime character and sweetness in balance. The whisky spends twelve years maturing in ex-sherry casks under an ocean climate, which the distillery associates with its peat, sea air and smoke. On the nose, peat smoke comes with fresh lemon and honey. The palate carries the same smoke alongside dark chocolate, and the finish is generous, long and soft.
